 S3 E4

Hello! Welcome to season 3, episode 4. Thank you for putting your ear to the Listening Tube. I’m your host, Bob Woodley. On this edition, we’ll hear about a Soviet leader’s dissapointing trip to southern California, sounds that can have some surprising physical effects, and the situation at America’s southern border, but first (not the headlines).

By the way, if I sound different this week, it’s because I’m recording this in a hotel room at Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. You might also hear a baby crying, as there’s one in the room next to mine. Anyway...

There’s a woman in San Francisco to was arrested after police used DNA tests to identify her as suspect in a property crime. The Associated Press story written by Olga Rodriguez, doesn’t say what kind of property crime it was, nor does she say what the source of her DNA at the crime scene was. Did she steal a pack of gum and spit on the floor? Did she leave blood behind while breaking a window? By the way, I was just being sarcastic about the pack of gum. I know that you can legally steal a pack of gum in California. It was actually a felony burglary. Anyway, it turns out that this woman was sexually assaulted by what it seems was a domestic partner in 2016. As part of the investigation, she submitted evidence containing the DNA of the offender. That DNA sample also included her DNA, which was cataloged along with the DNA of offender. I guess I should say alleged offender, since I don’t know if there were any charges filed. It didn’t say so in the story. So five years later, DNA collected from a burglary scene matches hers. She gets busted. It wasn’t the only evidence against her, but found among hundreds of pages of evidence reviewed . But then now-ousted San Francisco District Attorney Boudin found out how police got the original DNA sample and dropped the felony charges. The writer of the AP story called Boudin’s discovery of how the DNA was discovered a “shocking revelation that raised privacy concerns.” Exactly what privacy concerns are we talking about here? She voluntarily submitted whatever substance it was that ended up with her DNA on file. It’s not like police broke into her home and stole hair out of her sink. Yes, it was being the victim of a crime that made her DNA available to law enforcement. But that evidence wasn’t collected illegally. So, why should it not be available to investigators moving forward? It doesn’t diminish the crime allegedly committed against her. Even the writer of the story emphasized that the two events were unrelated. Yet because she was the victim of another crime, she was excused for committing one. Was the law on her side? What are the rules for collecting DNA and using it as evidence? Well, Federal Law does not allow victim DNA to be added to the Combined DNA Index System. But different states and even municipalities have their own laws. Turns out, there are no laws in California that prohibit even local law enforcement agencies from keeping their own DNA databases, regardless of how the DNA is gathered. So, no. She does not have the law on her side, but he had a extreme liberal D.A. on her side. Since then, standard operating procedures in San Francisco have been changed to exclude victim DNA from databases, and there’s state legislation pending. Seventeen other potential suspects in the jurisdiction have been identified through victim DNA. None of the others have been arrested. In fact, the state legislation moving toward law will prohibit using the DNA of a sexual assault victims for anything but identifying the accused. Local police would not be allowed to use victim DNA in investigations of future crimes. This sounds a lot like restorative justice, or an eye for an eye. Since you were the victim of a crime, you’re allowed to commit one. Leave all the blood and feces behind that you want, because it can’t be used as evidence against you. DNA is a lot like fingerprints. That’s why burglars wear gloves. If you’re going to commit a crime, you don’t want to leave any fingerprints behind, especially if you know the police already have your fingerprints on file. The same goes with DNA. If you know the police have your DNA on file, you probably shouldn’t leave you DNA behind at a crime scene. Nobody’s privacy is being violated if you provide the DNA sample voluntarily. So then the argument becomes, “but it’ll discourage women from reporting sexual assaults.” That may be so for sexual assault victims who are also criminals. But being a sexual assault victim should not absolve you from your responsibility to be a law-abiding citizen. If you’re stabbed, and you recover the knife and turn it over to investigators to be tested for DNA, and it has your DNA and the perpetrator’s DNA on it, both will be discovered. From that time on, you should assume your DNA is on a government database. The fact that you’re the victim, regardless of the crime committed against you, should be irrelevant in the eyes of the law, as long as you voluntarily give the evidence to investigators. To exclude sexual assault crimes, regardless of the victim’s gender, is like getting a get out of jail free card.

But there’s more! The woman who was charged with a crime and then cleared of it because of the source of the DNA evidence has filed a lawsuit against the city of San Francisco. Her lawyer claimed “government overreach of the highest order, using the most unique and personal thing we have-our genetic code-without our knowledge to try and connect us to crime.” That’s an interesting statement. I’m pretty sure the government isn’t going to tell anybody that they’re being investigated. And if it’s a DNA investigation, even law enforcement doesn’t know who they’re investigating until the results come in. He says the government is using the most unique and personal thing we have. I’ll bet the same argument was tried when fingerprints were first used as evidence. The author of the story claims there was outcry from advocates, law enforcement, legal experts and lawmakers. We would expect that from advocates and California lawmakers. What law enforcement might disagree with using evidence is beyond me, and she didn’t cite any sources, and of course, you can find a “legal expert” to agree or disagree with just about anything. One thing is likely, though. San Francisco will settle the lawsuit and the woman will get a nice payday worth much more than she would have made by committing the crime in the first place. The taxpayers will be on the hook for a misguided policy that rewards people who are the victim of a particular crime a ticket to commit an unrelated crime in return without fear of penalty and the possibility they might get paid for it.

If you’ve listened to more than one or two episodes of this program, The Listening Tube, you may have noticed that I’m not a big fan of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In fact, I most often refer to him as the tyrant Putin. He’s a murderer, and if that isn’t enough, he also invaded Ukraine, annexed the Crimea, is a partner of the Chinese Communist Party...I could go on. As it turns out, I may have been putting my life on the line by saying those things, as other people who have criticized him have been dieing at a record pace! I have a couple things going for me, though. I don’t live over there, and I don’t work in the energy sector. I’m just a user. But the people responsible for creating energy in Russia have been under a lot of pressure lately, and it would appear some of them have failed at their jobs in one way or another. The latest “irreparable loss,” as Russia’s Far East and Arctic Development Corporation called it, was when their Director fell off his moving boat. His body was found after a two-day search. So, if he fell off a moving boat, did nobody know he fell? Couldn’t they go back and get him? Or did they just wait two days for him to drown? He was appointed to his position as Director by the tyrant Putin. Putin giveth, Putin taketh away. The general director of the same company died in February of a stroke. At age 43. In September, Russia’s Lukoil chairman of the board died after falling out of a hospital window. Lukoil publicly criticized the Ukraine invasion. It’s tough to be a Russian Oligarch right now. Maybe that’s why oligarchs don’t exist in most places. Eight of them have died since the beginning of the year.

1664

The Dutch Republic surrenders New Amsterdam to England. By that time, 25-hundred people lived there! The Dutch didn’t give it up for nothing. They got control of the Spice Islands. Today, New Amsterdam is Lower Manhattan in New York City, with a population of nearly 1.7 million residents and 3.9 million commuters, three of the world’s most visited tourist destinations, and the world’s most expensive real estate, which is sold not by acres, but by square feet. Back yard not included. But hey, the Dutch made out, too. Spices are pretty expensive.

1776

Nathan Hale is hanged for spying during American Revolution. Four years later, in 1780, as the Revolutionary War continued, Benedict Arnold gives the British the plans to West Point. Then less than a week later, Arnold flees to British Army lines when the arrest of British Major John André exposes Arnold’s plot to surrender West Point. It’s interesting that we remember the spies as much as we remember the Generals. There are a lot of famous spies. Some of them were clear about who’s side they were on, others not so much. It’s the traitors we remember, because most spies don’t want to be known at all. The ones who get caught become the famous ones. Unless your name is Bond, James Bond. I’m sorry, was that cultural appropriation?

1823

Joseph Smith, Jr. states he found the Golden plates on this date after being directed by God through the Angel Moroni to the place where they were buried. It’s an interesting story that led to a peaceful religion. I’m in favor of anything that can provide a discipline that improves our lives and the lives of those around us. The Gold Plates were interpreted by Joseph Smith, and he allowed only eleven other people to even see them. Then, as legend has it, he returned them to from where they came. Religion really can’t exist without a little mystery. Otherwise, there would be no need for faith. It is faith that helps us believe in what cannot be proven. There is a faith other than the kind associated with religion. It’s the faith you have that you’re going to ace that test tomorrow because you’ve studied and you’re very knowledgeable about the material. The results of the test will determine whether or not your faith was misguided. Either way, disciplines were employed, and lessons were learned.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower sends 101st Airborne Division troops to Little Rock, Arkansas, to enforce desegregation. It was a bold move, but one that had to be taken.

1959

Nikita Khrushchev is barred from visiting Disneyland due to security concerns. There were rumors that Walt Disney himself put the kabosh on Khrushchev’s visit. In fact, that’s what we were told in school. Walt later denied the claim, saying they were ready to receive the Soviet leader, and that Mrs. Disney was looking forward to meeting him. Khrushchev, for his part, sulked like a spoiled child might.

ABC's 1st color TV series premiered. Not only was it in color, but the opening theme was also revolutionary. It used sound effects that nobody had really heard before. So what show was it? The Jetsons!

The cable cars in San Francisco cease operations for 2 years of repairs. Imagine being unaware of the shutdown and waiting at a stop for a trolley that doesn’t pick you up for two years...

The Dead Sea Scrolls are made available to the public for the first time by the Huntington Library. My wife and I went to see the Dead Sea Scroll when they were on display at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Couldn’t read a word of it. It is interesting, though, to find out that there were bible scriptures written that never made it into the bible. It makes you wonder what else might be missing.

2009

The G20 summit begins in Pittsburgh with 30 global leaders in attendance. It marks the first use of LRAD in U.S. history. So, what is LRAD?

Look that up liner…

LRAD stands for Long Range Acoustic Device. It’s a tool used by police. According to digital trends dot com, it refers to a line of “acoustic hailing devices” for broadcasting live or recorded messages with exceptional clarity...even above crowd, engine and background noise. It’s a highly directional signal that the manufacturer says can be used by police to clearly communicate during emergency situations. But can it be used as a weapon? Well, yes and no. The German publication Der Spiegel described LRAD as a sonic cannon that beams hellishly loud noise that is deafening but not lethal. It was actually used by a cruise ship to fend off pirates. It’s alleged that, when on high power, the effects are like a punch in the gut, ranging from nausea to involuntary evacuation of the bowels.

2011

The United States ends its “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” policy, allowing gay men and women to serve openly for the first time. When I was in the military, I was actually asked to bear witness to a locker search of a man who was suspected of being a homosexual. They found some pornographic material, some of it gay, some of it straight. After a few days, the man simply vanished from the barracks. I always felt sorry for him, and a little guilty that I was there when the materials were found. There’s a great diversity in our American military. It’s a meritocracy that shouldn’t care what kind of sex you prefer, as long as it’s legal in the civilian world. What I don’t agree with is transexuals joining the military and then demanding the taxpayers pay for your gender reassignment surgery.

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s been a lot more activity on the immigration front than usual. There’s no doubt that our immigration system is insufficient, and has been for many years, if not decades. Our federal government is powerless to do anything about it because neither of the two major political parties can agree on what should be done. Meanwhile, we continue to argue about it, which is probably what our political leaders want us to do anyway. But there’s certainly a difference between the two methods of approach. On the liberal side, many believe that anyone who wants to come to America should be able to walk in and pursue the American dream. On the conservative side, the general consensus is that there are rules to be followed, and our country has borders for a reason. As a consequence, we have a convoluted set of immigration laws that may or may not be enforced depending upon which party is in power. When they are enforced, they’re often so confusing that even our immigration judges have great latitude in how to apply the laws. When the laws are interpreted in one way, more people are granted asylum, when they’re applied in another way, fewer people are granted asylum. The current situation where Texas and Arizona border Mexico is a clear demonstration of the chaos caused by our immigration system and the ways politics effects how our southern border is administrated. Every Presidential administration tries something different, maybe new, maybe not. More recently, President Trump cut a deal with the Mexican Authorities to keep asylum seekers on the southern side of the border until their cases could be adjudicated. That resulted in fewer people coming here first and then seeking asylum. What it didn’t stop is people sneaking over the border, or under it, and evading authorities. Those people not seeking asylum, mostly because they know they don’t qualify for it. They just want to live in the United States, for whatever reason. Most likely economical. They can’t make a living in their own country, so they come here to live a life in the shadows, working where they can. It’s still better that what they left behind. Some would argue that they’re forced to leave their homeland because of violence or some other type of oppression, but if that were the case, they would qualify for asylum, and they wouldn’t have to sneak in. They could just come to the border and make a claim for asylum. Under the Biden administration, that means they’ll be taken in, given food and clothing, get medical attention, and provided shelter. Their children, if they brought any, would be cared for and put into a school to begin the same indoctrination to which all American children are subject. So, who’s allowed in and who isn’t? A lawyer friend of mine recently commented that there’s no such thing as an illegal alien, as anybody is free to come to the border and ask for asylum. However, Title 8 of the US Code defines improper entry, which is punishable by a fine, jail time, or both, as someone who enters or attempts to enter the US at any time or place other than as designated by immigration agents, or eludes examination or inspection by immigration agents, or attempts to enter or obtains entry into the US by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact. So while anyone is able to come to the border and ask for asylum, whether or not one is granted asylum depends on certain conditions. Certainly, sneaking over the border concealed in the back of a semi truck is not how you seek asylum. That would make you an illegal alien. But that’s not the only way you can be declared an illegal alien. If you come here legally and stay longer than you are authorized to stay, or if you violate, in some other way, the terms of your legal entry, you then become an illegal alien. There is a difference in the way the law is applied, though. Illegal entry can get you put in jail. Get caught multiple times, and it becomes a felony. Overstaying your visa is a civil violation which may result in deportation and a ban from re-entry into the United States. So every one of the people coming into the United States at a place other than one designated by immigration is by definition an illegal alien. It doesn’t matter from where you came, or what reason you may have for leaving there and coming here. If you cross the Rio Grande as part of a human chain, or were rescued from drowning by the US Border Control, by not entering at a designated port of entry, that should be your first strike. According to the law, you should be sent back across the border and if you enter the US illegally again, you are banned from entering the country for three years. But that’s not what’s happening. A Washington Examiner story tells how more than 2-million migrants were stopped from entering the country last year. Some came to ports of entry and were denied, most just came however and wherever they could, between ports of entry, in caravans, shepherded through by criminal organizations who control the territory between here and there. It cites three reasons for illegal crossings at the southern border being higher during the first 10 month of the Biden administration than at any time in the 98-year history of the Border Patrol. As soon as he get it done, he halted deportations, and canceled all the work being done on the border wall. Then he rescinded the Trump “Remain in Mexico” policy. At the time, it seemed like the only reason he did any of those three things was to distance himself from anything resembling President Trump, without regard to how it might effect the people he is supposed to represent. Then, as the Covid-19 epidemic began to kill people, he decided to not return unaccompanied children who came here illegally. More than 100-thousand unaccompanied children showed up between February and December of last year. At the same time, Mexican states decided that anybody who made it across the border from Mexico to the United States was no longer Mexico’s problem, and refused to take them back even if they weren’t legally permitted to stay in the U.S.! So, instead of asylum-seekers being required to stay in Mexico until approved, as it was under President Trump, President Biden’s policy changes made it possible for immigrants from all over the world to be escorted to the American border where, if they were able to successfully cross, wouldn’t be forced to return to Mexico. The Mexican government even published guides on how to illegally enter the US, and how to live in the U.S., and even how to get your kids enrolled in school in the U.S. Then to add injury to insult, the Mexican cartels who control the travel zones, teamed up with the Chinese Communist Party to smuggle fentanyl into our country, poisoning thousands upon thousands of our young people. Now, the Washington Examiner was touting how many people were prevented from illegally entering the country. In just the month of May of this year, 220-thousand people were apprehended while illegally crossing the border. They’re clearly coming to our southern border because of the policies of President Biden. Even so, the Border Patrol is stepping up as best they can, with the help of the Texas National Guard and others, to stop as many illegal crossings as they can, even when they have to rescue people put in danger trying to cross illegally. But not all of the people who are caught get sent back. Of the 2-million stopped last year, more than 800-thousand were released into the country. Now, you can say, “But Bob, that means 1.2 million people were kept out. That’s true. But that’s also a result of Title 42, which was activated during the Trump administration and has continued under the Biden administration. Title 42 is when the Centers for Disease Control issue a statement restricting immigration to fight the spread of an infectious disease. In this case, Covid-19. But the CDC, under the Biden administration, planned to lift Title 42 restrictions in May. But a judge has prevented the Biden administration from doing so, and it’s still being used to expel illegal immigrants. But not all of them. President Trump inked a deal with Mexico to take back immigrants from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. More than 2 million have been sent back to Mexico since then. People from other counties could more easily avoid Title 42 expulsion, and often ended up being released into the country, regardless of how or where they entered. Vice President Harris recently claimed that the border is closed, and the fact that 2-million immigrants have been sent back supports that claim—on the surface. But it’s not hard to dig a little deeper and discover the other side of the story. While the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, claims the Biden administration has a plan to stem the flow of illegal immigration, including finding the root causes of why people want to leave their home countries, exposing smugglers, improving border security management, and rebuilding the asylum process. Well, VP Harris famously flew to Central America to address the root causes of why people leave there to come here. What did that accomplish? Nothing. Have we exposed any smugglers? No. In fact, it’s the smugglers who control the border between Mexico and United States. Nobody gets to the border without the help, whether they want it or not, from the cartels that escort migrants to the Rio Grande. As far as improving border security management, well, that’s got to be some kind of joke. By implementing policies that encourage people to arrive at our southern border in record numbers, as many as 7-thousand per day, the Biden administration has created chaos for the men and women charged with guarding the border. The existing staff have become something other than border guards. They’ve become administrators of illegal immigration, rescuers of drowning people, escorts of illegal immigrants, as they’re handed off from the cartels at the border. The policies have distracted the Border Patrol to the extent that guarding the border is no longer the mission. Meanwhile, more opportunities open up for others, many with bad intentions, to cross the border undetected. These are the people who aren’t coming here to ask for asylum, but to enter our country under the radar. And, as I’ve already said, a plan to rebuild the asylum process won’t happen in congress, so plan to rebuild the asylum process can only be accomplished by more of foolish policies by the Biden administration. The only good news is that very little progress has been made in any parts of the Homeland Security plans. When it comes to the Biden administration’s immigration plans, the cure is worse than the disease. Everything they’ve touched concerning the southern border has been bungled in the name of liberalism. So, the question remains: If the border is closed, as Vice President Harris and others in the administration claim, from where are all of the people being shipped around the country coming? We know the answer to that question. If the border was closed, there would be no need for the Biden administration to fly immigrants to cities around the country, often landing in the middle of the night. Which, for some reason, liberals thought was fine, until the Governors of border states started moving the migrants north on their own. Suddenly, the migrants are being used as pawns in a political game. The Republican Governors are accused of being racist for moving illegal aliens to self-proclaimed “sanctuary cities” that suddenly find themselves overwhelmed and overly-burdened by the influx of migrants that came into the United States across our closed southern border. So cities that proudly object to strict federal immigration policies now find themselves in an unusual position. They’re suddenly finding out what it’s like to be flooded with immigrants in a short period of time. They’re complaining about hundreds of immigrants being sent to their cities, or in the case of Martha’s Vineyard, 50 immigrants. That was enough to cause a panic there, while Texas is inundated by thousands of immigrants per day. But the sanctuary cities don’t blame the federal government. They blame the states that have been burdened by the thoughtless federal policies that caused the problem in the first place. In the meantime, New York City is welcoming the illegal immigrants, Washington D.C. declared a state of emergency and has asked for federal assistance to deal with the influx, and Chicago has transported their bounty of illegals to Republican suburbs. In Massachusetts, the governor called in the National Guard to deal with the 50 immigrants who landed there, and the migrants flown in from Florida were relocated again to a military base on Cape Cod. Why? Because the politicians in Massachusetts rely on the financial backing of the citizens of Martha’s Vineyard to advance their careers. All the while, the leaders of these sanctuary cities and states accuse the southern border Governors of racism, and playing political games with people. But then they turn around and do the same thing, while never complaining about it when the Biden administration did the same thing. Washington D.C., despite asking for federal assistance to deal with the immigrants, will never get it. The Biden administration can’t justify it without admitting they caused the problem. So while President Biden and Border Czar Harris claim the border is secure, the tide of illegal immigrants does not ebb. Massachusetts isn’t the first state to call in troops to deal with the crisis. Texas sent its National Guard to help with the crisis at the border. But when a Texas National Guardsman locked a gate preventing illegal aliens who reached the American side of the riverbank from going any further, a member of the federal Border Guard promptly unlocked it, letting in dozens of migrants who entered the country illegally. The order to do so could only have come from Washington, D.C. Policies and statements by President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Secretary Myorkas have encouraged people from all over the world to go to Mexico and from there, enter the United States. They’ve fooled themselves, and are trying to fool us that the border is secure. They pretend there is no problem, let alone a crisis. This fiscal year, which ends on September 30th, will have seen more than 2-million encounters at our southern border. Last year, it was 1.7 million. In 2019, it was one million, and in 2020, a mere 500-thousand. So the number of people trying to gain entry into the United States, both legally and illegally, has more or less doubled under the Biden administration. And unlike the policies under the Trump administration, those who are not permitted to apply for asylum are allowed to enter the country until they get a hearing. That’s why there’s a crisis at the border. That’s why Texas and Arizona, and even Florida are struggling to deal with the massive amounts of people coming to the border. That’s why illegal immigrants are being shipped to other states and cities around the country by both federal and state agencies. But perhaps sending immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard opened the most eyes to what’s happening. When an island of the most wealthy people in the country, including former President Obama, claims they can’t accommodate 50 more people, the hypocrisy of the liberal left shines through the coastal fog. According to the New York Post, Obama’s mansion has 10 bedrooms. Two million immigrants cross the southern border, and the Biden admistration claims there’s not problem. Fifty of them land on Martha’s Vineyard, and the National Guard is called in to assist. The former California State Senate Majority Leader, a Latina, called the reaction of the residents of Martha’s Vineyard a joke. She’s quoted as saying that, “...if the Democratic Party thinks that Latinos are outraged by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, they are dead wrong.” She continued, “This Democratic stronghold, where the Obama’s now reside, couldn’t stomach having 50 brown migrants in their midst without declaring an emergency and shipping them out of town within 24 hours.” It’s hard to believe it, but sanctuary cities and states, faced with a fraction of the numbers invading Texas and Arizona, have found themselves tasting their own medicine, and it’s obvious they find the flavor unpleasant. It was fine when only the border states had to deal with immigration, but now that the border has moved north, liberal leaders are crying foul. Illegal immigration was find as long as it didn’t effect them, despite them proudly declaring themselves as compassionate, caring sanctuary cities. All the while, the migrants who are encouraged by the rhetoric of the current so-called leadership to make their way to the United States via Mexico, are subject to rape and murder along the way, forced to pay cartels to escort them to the border, and are forced to work off the debt once they get in. They become indentured servants of the cartels, forced to earn money where it is illegal for them to work, just to send it back to the criminal organizations in Mexico. That’s what the Biden administration and the rest of the radical left calls caring and compassion. The President’s press secretary will correctly claim that there have been more apprehensions than ever before, as if that’s some kind of success. What they won’t admit is that it’s because of their own policies. Under the guise of caring and compassion, they’re leading sheep to slaughter. Those who survive get to cross the finish line and enter the country. They haven’t been granted asylum, they’ve only been granted an appointment with an immigration judge. Most of them will never even show up. Eight-hundred thousand of them last year, and even more this year. Those are the ones we know about. While our border patrol is busy with the wave of migrants who don’t even try to hide, there are many more who evade American authorities, often with nefarious intentions, such as the overwhelming amount of fentanyl supplied to the Mexican cartels by the Chinese Communist Party to poison a generation of young Americans. The Biden administration isn’t just allowing this to happen, they’re encouraging it, with no regard as to how it affects the legal residents and citizens of the United States. All the while condemning people who want to make America great again as a threat to democracy and a danger to our society. President Biden’s immigration policies have already caused more damage to our society than we can accurately measure. Not to mention the burden put on American tax payers to house and feed hundreds of thousands of people, including unaccompanied minors, who came here with little, have no prospects for employment, and often don’t speak English. I’m not blaming the immigrants for our problems. They’re just people looking to take advantage of an opportunity. The problem lies with our current administration’s negligence to do what the citizens deserve. Our federal government has two very important responsibilities: The safety and security of the citizens, and the establishment and integrity of our borders. The Biden administration has taken steps since day one to undermine our border security, which puts the safety and security of the citizens at risk. In my opinion, he deserves to be impeached for the gross negligence he’s displayed through his immigration policies. But even if the Republicans take over both houses of congress after the mid-term elections, he’ll be safe from impeachment simply because the Vice President is just as incompetent as him. But that’s what you get when you choose a running-mate based solely on their gender and skin color, rather than their competence. And that’s what Americans get when people vote for somebody using the same criteria. We are a nation of laws. We even call our members of congress lawmakers. But when government officials, from local district attorneys to presidents, take it upon themselves to ignore laws in favor of pacifying special interest groups, we find ourselves in the current situation of rampant crime and runaway illegal immigration. Unfortunately, that’s what most liberals want. They want to tear down traditional American values to replace them with a doctrine that requires no social responsibility, no patriotism, and no accountability. The Biden administration demonstrates this doctrine every day it denies there’s an immigration crisis, and it can continue to deny a problem exists as long as the liberal media refuses to even acknowledge it. It’s an insult to law-abiding Americans and immigrants who entered the country the correct way. The entire fiasco has resulted in the deaths of thousands of people, both foreigners and Americans alike. Joe Biden is responsible for those deaths. He needs to be held accountable for them, and his reckless policies that put people in danger need to be stopped. There’s nothing caring nor compassionate about any of it.
